Creating empathic spaces to be yourself.

Language embodies multiple aspects of our development, maturity, integrity or non-integrity, ability to understand one another and to be understood by others... it encompasses multidimensional aspects of our being.

But, most importantly, language reveals our self-talk and relationship (or lack of it) to our own feelings and needs. Do my words actually reflect my experience? Are there hidden messages or motivations behind what I say?

My aim is to support people to get to needs-awareness: to live with met needs.

Nonviolent Communication, or NVC, is a philosophy and practice that supports us to speak with radical honesty, cultivate empathy for ourselves and others, and work towards transforming conflict in real time.

NVC considers that we all share the same universal human needs, and that each of our actions is a way to try to meet one or more of these needs.

The NVC community is active in over 65 countries around the globe. The website of the international Centre for Nonviolent Communication is a portal to discover more. www.cnvc.org

Testimonials

“Cathy has superb facilitator skills.  She is intuitive and highly sensitive to the needs - not only of individuals in the group but to the group process. She is gentle, caring, and unrushed, and at the same time is able to firmly guide the group to meet its goals. I always come away from sessions facilitated by Cathy feeling satisfied and heard.”

“Cathy created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel at ease. It’s been a great experience to learn more about and practice non-violent communication in such a safe space. It was one of the best events of its kind I’ve ever attended.
